Marina Diamandis - Steal The Style!

I hope you all enjoyed my ’ Rita Ora - Steal The Style ’ blog post, I’m going to make this segment a regular thing and my next installment is Marina Diamandis.

Major girl crush alert! Not only does she have a voice of a pure goddess, she looks like one too.

I love Marina’s unique sense of style and her determination to break boundaries when putting her outfits together. Think bold colours, multi-prints, a scatter of sequins and a dose of lush-luxe and you are on the right track!

Marina isn’t afraid to show some flesh & flaunt her best assets, so this cute little lace bolero top from Room31 is right on the money! Marina loves lace, but not too girly!

In true ’ Primadonna Girl ’ style Marina would without a doubt rock a skirt like this from River Island. Loaded to the hilt with embellishment, the epitome of lush-luxe!

Now for the really fun part, you can start to build your accessories to complete the  look. Marina’s always been a girl with an envious eyewear collection, she would love these Extreme Oversized Cat’s Eye Sunglasses from Asos.com»»»

Now adorn yourself with Diamandis-esque jewellery! Gold, silver, anything goes. I love this studded/rivet effect gold & ivory bangle by Kenneth Jay Lane at Doll Boutique, simple yet very effective!

Bring out the true lady in you by wearing this beautiful pearl collar from River Island, it’s just so pretty!

Ok, so you’ve got the Marina Diamandis look nearly complete, but we need a couple more things……… head wear & SHOES!

Marina would totally go for these Jeffrey Campbell/McQueen inspired avant garde platforms from Simmi Shoes! Rock & roll baby!

And finally, Marina is always partial to a unique little headband. RockNRose have an insane collection of gorgeous headbands, so take your pick. This Libertarian Heidi headband is my fave by far!

Spring/Summer 2012 is brimming with excitement for online fashion retailer Doll Boutique, created & founded in the heart of Glasgow by Arielle Shear to instill life, style and trendsetting online fashion finds for everyone. Arielle wanted to offer something a little different than the high street, but still affordable couture/ high end inspired clothing for women.

How To - Pretty Pansy Nails!

I’ve seen so many fantastic nails art pictures in the bloggersphere this week that it’s put me in an artistic mood.

I’ve created my Pretty Pansy nails today and here’s how you can too »»»

1) Prep your nails & use a thin layer of base coat, I’ve used Collection 2000.

2) Use a light polish for the first layer, I’ve used Nails Inc Peach Sorbet. Wait for this to dry and apply a second layer & leave to dry.

3) Then using a light/medium pink add random dots, I’ve used Barry M in Bright Pink. Don’t worry if they’re not perfect, this is creating the base of the petals.

4) Whilst the pink is wet, take a cocktail stick/orange stick and dip the tip into some white polish and swirl together & leave to dry.

5) Using a black nail art pen, I’ve used Topshop Nail Art (If you don’t have a nail art pen, liquid eyeliner does a good job too!) draw on randomly to create the effect of leaves and a rough outline.

6) Then finish with a very generous layer of top coat, I used Sally Hansen Mega Shine. Add another layer to seal in the loveliness!

Voila!

Stripes, Florals & All That!

So I opened the window this morning to help me make a decision about my outfit. It wasn’t cold, but it wasn’t hot either, so after a light scratch of the temples I grabbed my floral print trousers from Next and the rummaging through the wardrobe began.

Here’s what I found for a day of shopping, hope you like it peeps!

( Denim Shirt, Next. Striped Tee, Topshop. Floral Trousers, Next. Studded Gladiator Platform Wedges, ASOS.com. Clutch Bag, Topshop. Bracelet, ASOS.com. Necklace, everything5pounds.com )
